This webpage contains a collection of short stories I've written over the past few years, and recently had them published in my 1st book called: What If - An Anthology of 13 Short Stories. Click on FROM THE AUTHOR/New stories to know what inspired me to write each one of my stories. I decided to add this page, because I've had people ask me, over and over, what inspires you to write a particular story? WHAT IF gives you a synopsis of each story within the book, and a direct link to Amazon.com.

The 1st story I wrote called, "Wilma", is dedicated to my Mom who died of Alzheimer complications several years ago, and her strength and determination are what inspired me to write the story, that I finished in one day. The next morning, I woke up and wrote "The Dream", which was actually a nightmare I had over twenty-five years ago. After that, I decided to keep writing asking myself the same question, what if, for every genre, I decided to write about. Consuming author's works like Anne Rice, Stephen King, Michael Crichton, and Dean Koontz, and growing up watching 'The Twilight Zone', 'Amazing Tales', 'Night Gallery', and 'The Outer Limits', my mind is obviously warped, but seriously, I enjoy creating a tale that captivates the reader, and transports them into its pages, the same way I saw it when I wrote the story.

Here's the email I received, with a link to a book review, from a well-respected book reviewer.

Hello Kerry,

I hope you have had a lovely day so far. I am emailing you to let you know that my review of your wonderful book - which I adored - is now live! You will read in my review that I loved your book, but I just quickly wanted to write that I thought it was incredible, never once did it lack momentum and your writing was stellar throughout so thank you for writing such a great book!

It has been a pleasure working with you Kerry, I look forward to your reply and to read your thoughts. I hope you have a wonderful rest of the day.

All the best,

Aimee Ann

CHILDREN'S BOOKS takes you to my children's books published in 2006 by "Lifevest Publishing", in Centennial, Colorado, and a link to Amazon where the 2nd edition of "I Wish I could Fly - The Lonely Caterpillar", & "I Can Fly - The Lonely Butterfly" can still be purchased in paperback or Kindle, after the original publisher went out of business. I'd like to publish the 2nd edition of both stories in the same book, like before.
